Terms of Use

Last updated: 19 October 2026

These terms apply when a tattoo studio subscribes to Devvle, and when anyone uses it on a studio’s behalf, including through our dashboard at app.devvle.ink or the Devvle Android app. Please read them; by creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

1. About us and these terms

Devvle is provided by Devvle Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17114436), registered office 167-169 Great Portland Street, London, England, W1W 5PF (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at support@devvle.dev.

In these terms, the studio is the business that holds the subscription, and staff are the people the studio invites to use it (owners, admins, artists and front-of-house). You means the studio and, where relevant, each member of its staff. The studio is responsible for its staff’s use of the service.

Customers who book with a studio through a Devvle-powered website are contracting with that studio, not with us. The studio’s own terms (deposits, cancellations, consent and aftercare) govern that relationship.

2. The service

Devvle gives a studio a hosted website and booking system, a staff dashboard, and related features such as availability management, booking reminders, notifications and online card deposits. We may improve, change or retire features over time. If we remove something material to your plan, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.

The Devvle Android app is provided free of charge as part of a studio’s subscription. It is currently for studio staff only. Your use of the app is also subject to Google Play’s terms.

3. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract to create an account.
  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. Keep your sign-in details secure and don’t share accounts; each staff member should have their own login.
  • Tell us straight away at support@devvle.dev if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
  • Studio admins control who has access to the studio’s account and should remove staff who no longer need it.

4. Trials, subscriptions and payment

  • New studios can start with a 30-day free trial. No payment details are needed to start a trial; to keep using paid features afterwards you will need to subscribe.
  • Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or annually, through Stripe. Prices are shown on our website and in the dashboard. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice of any price change, which will apply from your next billing period.
  • Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time and run until the end of the period you have paid for. If you cancel an annual plan early, we will refund the unused portion on a pro-rata basis.
  • If a payment fails, we may suspend paid features after letting you know and giving you a reasonable chance to pay.
  • Where a studio takes card deposits, payments are processed by Stripe and paid into the studio’s (or each artist’s) own Stripe account through Stripe Connect. Card payments are subject to our card payment pricing and terms, which a studio accepts when it switches card payments on, and to Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement. The studio is responsible for its own deposit, refund and cancellation policies.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use Devvle to:

  • break the law, or help anyone else to;
  • upload content you don’t have the rights to, or that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or infringes someone else’s intellectual property or privacy;
  • send spam or unsolicited marketing to customers through the platform;
  • take bookings for or tattoo anyone under 18;
  • try to access accounts or data that aren’t yours, probe or break our security, or disrupt the service;
  • copy, resell, reverse engineer or build a competing product from the service, except where the law allows it;
  • upload malware or use automated means to overload the service.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put things right.

6. Your content and data

You keep ownership of everything you put into Devvle: your studio details, artwork, portfolio images and customer data. You give us a licence to host, copy, display and process it only as needed to provide and improve the service, and to display it on your studio website.

For your customers’ personal data, the studio is the controller and we process it on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy. The studio is responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and use that data, for its own privacy notice to customers, and for any consent forms or health information it chooses to record.

The service and its software, design and branding belong to us or our licensors. Apart from the right to use the service under these terms, you get no rights in them.

7. Availability and support

We work hard to keep Devvle available and secure, but we can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to carry out maintenance, and some features depend on third parties such as Google, Stripe, Twilio and Resend. Support is available by email at support@devvle.dev.

8. Ending the service

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the dashboard or by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, don’t pay, or if we stop providing the service (in which case we will give at least 60 days’ notice and refund any prepaid fees for the unused period).

Before a studio account closes, admins can ask us for an export of their data. After closure, we delete it as set out in our Privacy Policy. Individual staff and customers can delete their own accounts as explained on our account deletion page.

9. Our liability

  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
  • Devvle is a business tool. We are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
  • We are not responsible for the services studios provide to their customers, or for missed appointments, disputes or deposits between a studio and its customers.
  • Otherwise, our total liability to a studio in any 12-month period is limited to the fees the studio paid us in that period.

If you use Devvle as a consumer rather than for business, you have legal rights that these terms don’t affect.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, tell studios at least 30 days in advance by email or in the dashboard. If you don’t agree to the changes, you can cancel before they take effect.

11. General

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer your account without our agreement; we may transfer our rights to a successor business. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the service.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that consumers living elsewhere in the UK may bring proceedings in their local courts.
